Based on 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petite Verdot, and 5% Malbec and aged in 85% new French oak, it's medium-bodied, balanced, and elegant on the palate, with ripe tannins and an outstanding finish. It's holding things a little close to its vest today, yet I love its overall balance and purity. Give it a year or two and drink over the following decade. Well, to start with, I got a pretty damn good deal on this wine but I also bought the entire production. Too much to be honest so I am going to blow out a big chunk. blow out, right? With air it becomes more expressive layering in nervy olallieberry, pie spice and graham cracker. Fleshy on entry, juicy yet muscular, a touch more feminine and pretty than Lot 10 (a moose of a wine) but still quite substantially structured with silky, big-grained tannins that carry beautifully attenuated red and black fruits layered over mineral-laced tannins. This is the classic \"iron fist, velvet glove\" Cabernet but with a sexy, energetic palate quite a bit more open knit than its big brother, Lot 10. .
