Lot 35 2024 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
BOTTLED AUGUST 21ST AND READY TO SHIP
Lot 35 is a 2024 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir that winemaker Katie and I assembled from two different $75/ to $55/bottle Pinot Noir programs. Both wines hail from single-vineyard-designate programs, one from the Petaluma Gap AVA, the other from Fort Ross-Seaview AVA.
No expense was spared on either…the Petaluma Gap Pinot has 60% new French oak from top quality cooperage including Remond, Francois Freres and Rousseau. The Fort Ross Seaview sees a gentler touch of 35% new French oak - together they conspire to produce an absolutely fantastic Pinot Noir.
Like the fantastic Anderson Valley Gewurtraminer offer, we got an incredible deal as folks were eager to empty out barrels prior to the impending harvest.
The wine was bottled at August 21 and with five weeks in the bottle is already tasting Fantastic!
Here's the kicker: its just $99/case DELIVERED!
I told you I got a good deal! Only 300 cases available so get it while you can!
Beautifully extracted, Lot 35 shows medium ruby in the glass with a vibrant magenta sheen throughout. Even with just 5 weeks in the bottle, the bouquet is fantastic: bright and effusive with vibrant cherry, raspberry and strawberry haloed with black tea, tobacco leaf, cardamom and rose petals and a dark cherry, mocha and red clay underpinning just beginning to complex in the bottle. Perfectly ripe and juicy on entry with great energy, pure raspberry and cherry fruit and a perfectly attenuated structure. The oak integration is perfect - elevating fruit rather than overpowering. Huge length with an elegant yet resounding finish that echoes for a good 90-seconds. Juicy, energetic and perfectly balanced this is an amazingly complex Pinot Noir and an incredible offer at $99/case delivered!
