Lot 87 2024 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
BOTTLED JULY 9, SHIPPING END OF AUGUST
Lot 87 2024 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir hails from a relatively high elevation (over 1,000 feet) estate vineyard in the Occidental Hills. The producer focuses on this cool, hilly region on the western edge of Russian River Valley, farming estate vineyards on both side of the AVA boundary in both the Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley. Today's offering falls on the Sonoma Coast side.
Regardless of what side of the AVA boundary, all of their Pinot's and Chardonnay's have a decidedly artisanal, cool-climate feel to them with pretty, crunchy, mouthwatering acidity that gives them a particular lightness of being while threading the needle beautifully with physiologically ripeness due to extremely low yields ranging from 1 to 2 tons per acre. This first class winemaking from the hands of a master, I promise.
Normally sold a as a single-vineyard designate for around $70/bottle, today this delicious, absolutely fantastic Pinot Noir can be yours for just $139/case.
Pinot-lover's this is a no-brainer! I love the perfect balance of ripe fruit, perfectly integrated wood, and juicy verve. Folks, this is exceptional Pinot Noir and one of the best bottlings we've ever produced.
Beautiful pale ruby/purple hue. Pretty and peppery strawberry and raspberry notes underpinned with dark black fruit and earth complexed with black tea and sandalwood. With air spicy cherry and purple florals further complex this vibrant and compelling bouquet. Fleshy and ripe on entry with a potent, mineral-driven structure that carries pretty cherry and dark choclate covered raspberry with brambly fruit and black tea notes woven throughout the long, resplendent and energetic finish. This wine perfectly combines richness and ripeness with excellent energy and verve!
